More than 40 speakers from Australia and around the world will address topics
including mining and conflict, improving rural justice, indigenous justice issues,
supporting rural and remote lawyers, and many other aspects of rural law and

The National Rural Law and Justice Conference will also provide a ‘once in a lifetime’

USA, and broadcasts daily radio commentaries that are carried in more than 150
commercial and public stations, on the web, and on Radio for Peace International.

His newsletter, "The Hightower Lowdown," has more than 135,000 subscribers and
is the fastest growing political publication in America. The hard‐hitting Lowdown has
received both the Alternative Press Award and the Independent Press Association
Award for best national newsletter.

Other keynote speakers at 2nd Rural Law and Justice Conference include:
• Professor Jack Beetson: An Aboriginal Perspective on Rural Law and Justice
