Description

ISEC 2011 'Innovative solutions for environmental challenges' aims to set a research and policy agenda for environmental management to 2021. 

In the 21st Century the growing uncertainties and complexities presented by climate change and population growth will lead to increased competition for scarce natural resources and decreased viability of natural and social systems. The challenge for environmental management globally, is to bring together the knowledge bases from the environmental and social sciences and apply them to practice across a range of social and ecological scales.
