Purpose

To highlight and promote the contribution of Australian rural and regional research and academic teaching to policy and debate.

Aims

1. Promote the development of integrated reasearch in the sector with a particular emphasis on social and environmental issues impacting on rural and regional Australia.
2. Provide a platform through which scholars can engage in policy research and debates, and development projects in collaboration with key government departments, research development corporations and non-government organisations
3. Foster connections and synthesis between relevant research to shape outputs that are relevant to contemporary public policy considerations and community discussion.
4. Provide a platform for informing the broader community of scholarly work in rural and regional Australia.
